It was met with mixed receptions. Anushka played the role of a Punjabi girl who was from middle class in a film called 'Band Baaja Baaraat. The film featured her alongside Ranveer. The movie received a great reception and was later a sleeper. Anushka's 3-film contract at Yash Raj Films ended with the release of Band Baaja Baaraat.
